Casting and Location

For my filming, I have decided to film the outdoor shots in my hometown of Bingley, as I wanted to play on the idea that the protagonist was trapped in his mundane existance. I thought that a large city like Bradford or Leeds would not have the claustrophobic nature I was after,so it made sense to use footage of somewhere close to me.

 I then had to decide on a main character in my video. As I only wanted the video to feature one person, I had to think hard on a man (as it is a male singer) that would fit the conventions that the music portrays. Jake (pictured below) drums for many bands, and dresses in a skater/indie fashion. I have tried to pick a character that is as 'ordinary' looking as possible, as I wanted the audience to be able to put themselves in his shoes easily. I feel that Jake is the perfect actor for my video, and I am excited to work with him.
